Meeting February 11th at The Beef House in Covington, IN
We’re starting a little earlier than usual but hope you can all attend…and bring a guest. This meeting will feature a presentation by Dr. Michael Mead DVM. Dr. Mead will be talking about total herd health discussing the main cattle problems in Indiana, what to look for, how to prevent them for calves and mature animals. He will then point out potential problems due to illness or injury, what to look for, how to treat and when a vet should be called. Bring your questions, cattle ranchers from full time down to just an animal or two, this will benefit all. Also pass this on to your neighbors and friends who are concerned about the health of cattle, they are more than welcome to attend whether they are members or not, even folks with no cows or “English cattle” are invited!
Following his presentation, we need to start getting things in order for our show, June will be here before we know it.
The meeting will wrap up around 12:30 and those that wish to, can stay for lunch (on your own). They offer Sunday specials and a salad bar that everyone will like. I was there recently and know that their furnace works very well, so we should have a good turnout! During and after lunch we can visit and catch up with other members.
